I have determined that it is all about the details that takes a look from OK to Great! And when you get really good you can find those details. Just once piece can make the entire outfit.
Let me explain a little better what I mean by that.
I have determined that it is all about the details that takes a look from OK to Great! And when you get really good you can find those details. Just once piece can make the entire outfit.
Let me explain a little better what I mean by that.
Cheetah print, leopard print, animal print… I don’t really care what you call it. IT IS IN and I LOVE IT. I know I know, it has been popular and “IN” for a little bit now, BUT I have noticed it more and more and adding it to any outfit is ALWAYS a good idea.
Suede screams fall and again it’s another perfect transitional piece that adds great texture to any outfit. I prefer to keep the rest of the look simple and let the skirt speak for itself. In these three looks I pair all styles with the same top and same pair of shoes and you can see how each look gives a slightly different look by just changing the style of the suede skit.
The best part about this look is when temps get a little cooler just add a leather jacket and some over the knee boots and you are good to go!
Pair your black tank top and fun heels with a skirt that has extra flare and adds a little extra spice to the outfit.
SKIRT | BLOUSE | SHOES (NOT THE EXACT BUT STILL FUN FOR THIS SKIRT) |
You see this skirt sold everywhere and the reason that is, is because YOU NEED IT IN YOUR CLOSET!!! It is a BASIC for your wardrobe this time of year. It checks off all the needs for any and all skirts. High waisted, not to tight, flares at all the right places, trust me here!
HEELS (NOT THE EXACT MATCH BUT VERY SIMILAR LOOK) | SKIRT | BLOUSE (THIS ONE IS SOLD OUT, BUT I LOVE THIS TANK EVEN MORE) |
If you are like me, almost all things in your closet turn a little darker shade when it comes to colder months. I seem to buy everything in black. I cant say I will stop but here is a perfect way to add a pop of color to your look through the fall months. You are still sticking to that fall color palette but you add just a touch of a color in a simple way.
SKIRT | TANK (THE ONE I HAVE ON IS SOLD OUT BUT I LOVE THE EXTRA
LACE IN THIS TANK AND WHAT IT ADDS TO THE LOOK) | SHOES |

I love shoes. It’s a fact. And anyone who knows me, knows I have entirely too many shoes necessary. I admit it, yes, I have too many shoes. BUT… I love shoes… and more importantly, I love when the shoes do the talking. I recently got these FUN wedges that I simply couldn’t pass up because, well… they were FUN! It inspired me to put together an outfit just for those particular shoes!
Here’s my advice… keep the outfit simple. Like I said, let the shoes do the talking. Here, you see that I paired the outfit with neutral colors and I allow the shoes to tie the entire look together. [If you love them, grab them quick because they are going fast.] Good news for you though, this is a total trend and I picked out a few others with a similar style and vibe that you may want to rock right on into the fall.
Steve Madden Multi Snake: This wedge gives the detail on the top portion of the shoe. In this instance you still want to let the shoe do the talking and keep the rest of the outfit simple.
And if you love this pattern and can’t get enough, check these Snake Skin Wedges out!
Suede Platform Sandals: These offer a much more neutral design to the wedge portion of the shoe. Enough to give it a flare and make it different from your average wedge.
Ankle Strap Neutral Design Wedge: A smaller wedge and one that will work for the person that does not want to be too loud with the design but likes a little something. Plus they are 60% off right now, can’t beat it!
Black Multi Flatform: A flatform version and black and white you can pair with anything!

A few other favorite Shoes – Five I am Loving
I know you may not believe me when I say this, but it’s true… FANNY PACKS ARE BACK. Not coming back, they are back. They are here and they are in styyyylllleeee. I know what you are thinking already, nope not my thing. Good news is, I got it, I get it, I have been that person too. With that said, I’ve changed. Well, I shouldn’t say I’ve changed, I will just say I have changed my perspective on my feelings towards fanny packs!
First, I will admit, I only use to use my fanny pack for running. Meaning I would stuff my key, my phone and anything else I felt I would maybe need for the next 7 to 10 miles and be on my way with my fanny. Yes, I would wear it around my hips and honestly I did not care if people liked it or not because it was living up to its purpose.
Things have changed, yes fanny packs are still serving a purpose but they are also making a fashion statement. To prove this I have listed below all different styles of the fanny packs. Sporty, fancy, chic… the list goes on. At the end of it all, you should dig them, because I think they are back in style for awhile now and honestly, they keep life simple. Fanny up crew!
XOXO. Kel
P.S. I will also add the the fanny pack style is in for both MEN and WOMEN!
P.P.S. Check out below the different ways to wear the fanny pack! Yes, this is a thing!

OUTFIT DETAILS: PANTS (Under $25) | TOP | HEELS (These are not available but found another pair I am in love with + they are on SALE!) | CLUTCH
After a wonderful trip to Montana (dont worry my #Kellydoestheoutdoors blog is coming soon)… and a long 4th of July Weekend, I am back. It’s so important to take some time to chill and remind ourselves to slow down! It takes work for me and lots of reminders to be ok with finding time to relax but now reflecting back on it, it was way for sure needed.
This blog post came to me pretty quickly. As I write these post I learn from them, but I also have to constantly remind myself to write about things I look for and want to read about in my own time. For instance, I love seeing how other people style different things. Style is a unique thing and I love how you can start with one basic piece of clothing and style it so many different ways just by changing the smallest things. For instance, this mid length black dress. Simple. Everyone seems to have something like this in their closet. And the best part is it is so easy to wear during these hot summer days.
OUTFIT DETAILS: WHITE JEAN SHORTS (UNDER $20.00) | CAMO T-SHIRT | CONVERSE SNEAKERS | JEAN JACKET
