Summer Sun Workout
Believe it or not, summer flew and it is quickly coming to a close. Just think, before we know it, we will be counting down to the crazy holiday season! With that said, in order for you to soak up summer I am sharing a little outdoor sweat you can get in before those temps start to drop! Soak it up and try out this Sun Workout. Remember, no pressure. Your goal… get out, sweat and feel good about what you accomplish! Happy Sweating and Soak up that Sun!
Remember these workouts are recommendations. Do what you can handle and push yourself.
What you need:
- Music (preference)
- Something that tracks miles or time (I use my phone and I love the app MAP MY RUN, it links right into your headphones. Try it)
- Sneakers and good workout attire to sweat in.
Soak Up The Summer Workout:
(Complete this one time through, if you are looking for more milage add more sets once completed)
Jog 1 mile (Warm Up pace)
(Find a nice patch of grass or someplace safe to stop and complete the below series.)
25 Squats – 20 Push ups – 30 Dips
Run 1/2 mile (Pick up your pace – Running Pace)
Strength: 20 Squats – 15 Push ups – 25 Dips
Run 1/4 mile (RACE Pace – Run this as fast as you can)
Strength: 15 squats – 10 Push Ups – 20 dips
Run 1/2 mile (RACE PACE – Run this as fast as you can)
Strength: 10 Squats – 5 dips- 15 dips
Run 1/4 Mile (RACE PACE- Run this as fast as you can- try to beat your time from last time)
