Well, since its my birthday I thought why not share with you…
34 Things I am Loving Right Now!
Try them all out for yourself and tell me what you think. Cheers to another year!
Valentines day means different things for different people. Based on where you are in life and what your plans are for that evening – I got you covered! Below are a few different three different looks for some inspiration depending on what type of night you have planned!
When my mom reached out to me to ask if I would want to participate in the “adopt a child for the holiday’s” program her work was hosting, my immediate thought and response was no.
No, I did not have time and just could not be bothered with one more thing on my to- do list. It felt overwhelming to me and just one more thing added to the list was not what I needed at the moment.
And then, I stopped. I stopped and took a breath.
I remember clear as day… I was taking my laundry out of the dryer and I was lost in thought and I said out loud to myself… “Stop being ridiculous, of course you will participate.” So, I tossed my laundry on my bed and immediately rounded up my girls over text and email. I asked if they wanted to join in with me and reminded them just like I reminded myself that there are so many kids out there that do not get a Christmas like we did when we were growing up… and it is simply not there fault (It took no convincing at all to my incredible girlfriends and they were on board right away).
Together we tackled the wish list that was sent our way and in that very moment I felt like a superhero. A superhero that would never get to meet this 5 year old little girl but just the thought of knowing I was going to help her wake up with the feeling I had on Christmas day when I was growing up, meant more then anything in this world. It made all the things on my “to-do” list really not feel THAT important.
So we made a night of it. We all chipped in, got everything that little Kayla asked for and became Santa’s elves for a night. Wrapping, tying and just enjoying the moment with one another to GIVE.
Christmas is right around the corner. And you have the choice to make it stressful and something that just becomes a glorified to-do list… or turn it in to a chance to help others. Even if it’s just opening a door for someone, looking the clerk in the eye and saying thank you…whatever it may be, we have the choice to make it what we want. I hope we can all just find a little bit of this in us this holiday season and to remember what the holiday’s are all about.
Its frigid out, its winter but you still want to look cute! I totally get it and I have the solution… The TEDDY Coat!
It’s all the rage right now and trust me you do not have to pay a fortune to find a cute one! This is how I look at it. If I dont spend a lot on one… that means I can get a few! That’s how it works right? 🙂
I have picked some of my favorites that I have added to my collection.
Now, go teddy up and stay warm!
The Holidays are here, ready or not. And with the holidays come some fun holiday parties. I personally love getting a little fancy and getting into the holiday spirit. I know some hate it but try to find the good in it all and get yourself to the party and have a good time!
I love this time of year. It’s the start of holiday parties and good quality time spent with the ones you love. Food, football and family, all things that are required in my kind of Thanksgiving.
Along with all of these fun parties and get togethers comes a cute outfit, duh. And for me, Thanksgiving requires something cute but also cozy. I have to say, I was not sure how I felt about the “jumper style” until I conversed about it with a few of my girlfriends and tried it for myself . I quickly fell in love and decided to go for it. Corduroy is back and I am all in. The jumper I styled here has just enough mix of cozy and cute. It has stretch in the material, making it flow with your every movement as well as expanding wherever necessary as you stuff your face with all the good eats this Thanksgiving .
I also just added these booties to my stash and … I – AM – O B S S E S S E D ! First, this color is one of my favorites because it goes with everything! I am a girl that loves height on any shoe and the added platform to these booties make these very comfortable and easy to walk in. Trust me, you can pair these with everything.
All in all, keep this look simple. Add a long sleeve bodysuit and an oversize cardigan and let it take you from hugs and kisses with the family, fill your plate with mash potatoes and turkey and finish with some good old lounging on the sofa.
Happy Turkey Day.
