You guys always have a lot of questions about all the different sneakers I wear and own. Truth, I have a TON of sneakers. That being said, I have many more than necessary and many more than the average person. I will say, that “sneaks” go in the category of work clothes for me. They match my lifestyle and I can’t lie that I love a fresh pair of kicks. Well, at least that is what I tell myself.
There is no denying that I am a shoe girl. And when I say that, please do not follow up and ask how many pairs I have. I will be honest with you when I say that I have entirely too many pairs of shoes… but, I honestly believe the shoe can make or break any outfit.
I know, I am late to the game. Here’s the thing, I have always been a fan of the “chelsea” style boot. Every time I would see someone rocking the look I would admire it and tell myself I would try again. This happened, over and over again… and, nope. It just wasn’t working for me, something was off.
I NEEDED a pair of specific jeans. It was one of those things where I could draw a picture of what I wanted these “specific jeans” to look like that I would label as my “run around jeans.” With the specific look in mind, I tried on about 20 different pairs and every pair I tried on was wrong, wrong, wrong. Finally, I found the classic Levi’s brand and BOOM, sold.
Animal print is all the rage right now (cheetah, leopard, whatever you want to call it). Toss in the snakeskin print you currently see everywhere and you find yourself right on trend. With that in mind, of course I had to get a pair. Therefore, I was on the hunt for a pair of boots that had to meet some very specific details. Good news, the look is super popular so there was a ton to pick from.
I love shoes. It’s a fact. And anyone who knows me, knows I have entirely too many shoes necessary. I admit it, yes, I have too many shoes. BUT… I love shoes… and more importantly, I love when the shoes do the talking. I recently got these FUN wedges that I simply couldn’t pass up because, well… they were FUN! It inspired me to put together an outfit just for those particular shoes!
Here’s my advice… keep the outfit simple. Like I said, let the shoes do the talking. Here, you see that I paired the outfit with neutral colors and I allow the shoes to tie the entire look together. [If you love them, grab them quick because they are going fast.] Good news for you though, this is a total trend and I picked out a few others with a similar style and vibe that you may want to rock right on into the fall.
Let ’em Do the Talking:
Steve Madden Multi Snake: This wedge gives the detail on the top portion of the shoe. In this instance you still want to let the shoe do the talking and keep the rest of the outfit simple.
And if you love this pattern and can’t get enough, check these Snake Skin Wedges out!
Suede Platform Sandals: These offer a much more neutral design to the wedge portion of the shoe. Enough to give it a flare and make it different from your average wedge.
Ankle Strap Neutral Design Wedge: A smaller wedge and one that will work for the person that does not want to be too loud with the design but likes a little something. Plus they are 60% off right now, can’t beat it!
Black Multi Flatform: A flatform version and black and white you can pair with anything!

A few other favorite Shoes – Five I am Loving
I am all about FUN tops this Fall Season and I can say this one ranks in the top three of my most fun tops purchased. Now, not to worry, I have prepared myself with the comments that I will receive while wearing this top. I realize it has very puffy sleeves and a ton of ruffles… BUT, guess what, I don’t care. I love it and I think its so fun! Remember, at the end of the day that’s what matters. Find something you love and rock it!
For me, if I am going to toss on a pair of blue jeans to head out for a night, I better make my outfit interesting with some cute shoes or a top. So for this top… give me all the ruffles.
Sizing: I am wearing a small and it would show some of my stomach if I did not pair it with high waisted jeans (I personally think high waisted anything is the way to go with this look but, like I said earlier, make the look your own).
Button Details: It does have some clips on the chest area that allows you to open or close the front based on how much skin you would like to show and what may be appropriate for you!
My Suggestion: Take an iron and press down on the sleeves when you first get it. This will help the ruffles lay better. I also think this look pairs best with you hair up. Allow the shirt to do the talking.
The best part – It is UNDER $30.00!

Another Fun Top – Green Vest
Alright, maybe it is my old age or maybe it is just me not caring what anyones opinion is of me. Honestly, I went through a moment where I was buying things because they were COMFORTABLE. Meaning “looks” came second and “comfort” came first! I never thought the day would come… but it did… and these shoes led the charge.
It’s the time of year where sometimes it is to cold to wear flip flops… but wearing big boots or what I call “hot shoes” (winter type shoes) is just too much. Sooooooooo… I call it “slip on” season. There are a ton of fun patterns and this is a style that everyone can relate to. You know this girl loves a a great platform on any shoe and you better believe I found a platform slip on!
So when putting your #ootd together and styling your slip ons… here are some of my rules I follow:
1. Keep it simple (let the shoes do the talking).
2. Pair them with shorts or skinny jeans. I personally like that look because it shows off the shoes better and gives the outfit character.
3. Make sure you pick ones that are comfortable. There is nothing worse then bad blissters from your slip ons. This will 100% ruin the vibe.
Either way, be sure to rock them the way that feels good to you. It’s slip on season, you do you!
OUTFIT DETAILS: HIGH WAISTED JEANS (MY FAVORITE MADEWELL JEANS ) | T-SHIRT (MY MOST RECENT PURCHASE FROM AMAZON- OBSESSED) | LEATHER BOMBER JACKET (THIS EXACT ONE IS SOLD OUT BUT THIS ONE IS VERY SIMILAR)
I realize I have a shoe problem. I realize I have a lot of shoes. Ok, I realize I have too many shoes. BUT… the first step is admitting, right?
