I have a rule… you should never wear pajamas out of the house. I dont care if you have a 3am flight… it does not give you an excuse to wear pajama pants to the airport. Yes, you can be comfortable. BUT, I am a big believer that you can be cozy and cute all at the same time. So, let’s carry that same theory into what is going on in today’s world. We are quarantined… yes. That does not give you an excuse to not get up, put yourself together and make sure you have some sort of structure. Again, it does not mean you have to dress up fancy… but get out of your PAJAMAS!
Alright, soooooo… I have been getting a lot of request to share some of my outdoor runs. I know some people do not have access to a treadmill right now due to the gyms being closed and my suggestion to that is… take the treadmill outdoors.
The only thing we have!
I know you already know… Run everyday… but now, even more it feels like we don’t have many other options but to put our legs in use and start moving. I have been asked over and over again to post workouts and to share what I am doing during this crazy, anxious time… so here it goes.
This is one of those dresses I would see everyone in and I think I looked at it over 100 times on Amazon before actually purchasing it. It looked cute, but was it really cute in person? All color options where great, but which one did I need or really want? Where would I wear it? I decided enough with the questions, lets just make the purchase.
Work outfit? In todays world its hard to pin point what “work attire” is. In my world… the fitness world… we spend most of our days in leggings and crop tops. Therefore, when I put on jeans, the first words out of everyones mouth is always… “why are you so dressed up?” HA, it’s just jeans!
However, on those occasions that I do get out of leggings and have a business meeting, I like to take on a more edgy approach to the business look. I feel like this is something that has been trending lately and I totally dig it. Now, don’t get me wrong, this only fly’s when its appropriate… but when it is, dive in.
The ingredients for an edgy Work Outfit:
- Blazer (long line if you can)
- High waisted jeans (Add a little rip to your jean to give you an extra edge)
- Graphic T
- Open Toe Heels (you know this girl has to add her platform in)
- Grab your work bag, your computer and take it on. Go be a #BOSS.
SHOP THIS LOOK:
Yes, $35.00 dollars. No, I am not kidding and no, I am not talking about my clutch that is pictured. This dress is 3-5- freaking – dollars. We will call it … AN AMAZON STEAL!
We are still stuck in those winter months for just a bit longer… we hope. So, as you start to transition (even when its still a bit chilly) it’s good to add in some lighter colors and show off a bit more skin … as long as you aren’t freezing [keep in mind it is still winter] .
Even though it is nowhere close to summer yet I still like to day dream about all the white, light, breezy looks that will be coming our way in no time. With that said, in this version of [build you own outfit] I decided to pair all the neutrals together, winter style. An outfit you can build with all the things you may already own… or if you are missing anything, I have the hook up for you.
I realize the statement I am about to make most of you will think I am crazy for saying. Honestly when I tell you this, and trust me it has not always been this way but… I have grown to really like [cold weather running]. So I am convinced that this has something to do with the fact that I played a spring sport most of my life… but that spring sport was sometimes played through some of the coldest days. We had no other choice but to just… deal with it and figure out a way to feel our hands through it all. So naturally, this is the way I look at my running days that are out in the bitter cold.
I guess you know you have a slight obsession at finding the “good stuff” on Amazon when people always ask you… “Is that from Amazon?”
