This blog post came to me pretty quickly. As I write these post I learn from them, but I also have to constantly remind myself to write about things I look for and want to read about in my own time. For instance, I love seeing how other people style different things. Style is a unique thing and I love how you can start with one basic piece of clothing and style it so many different ways just by changing the smallest things. For instance, this mid length black dress. Simple. Everyone seems to have something like this in their closet. And the best part is it is so easy to wear during these hot summer days.

I get the question a lot… “do you really run everyday”. Well, the answer is yes, kind of… I do take off one day a week (typically). And 99.99% of the time it is Sunday, the day of rest.
BUT, here is the thing… I also do a lot of other things.
I still swear to myself that running makes all the difference for me. Both physically and mentally it is my thing. If I had only one workout I was allowed to do for the rest of my life, running is what I would pick. That does not mean I love it all the time (I have discussed this before), but I really think it is the single, best full body workout I can get. (I know this is my opinion so please do not waste your time arguing if you think I am wrong or disagree :))
And yes, I teach a range of classes all week, including spin, barre, and some boot camp style classes. The most important to my schedule though is making time for MY workouts. Although, I get a sweat when I am teaching those classes… I still like to put myself through my own workouts and be on my own training schedule the meet the personal goals I set for myself. So, the next question I get is … what does that training schedule look like for you. Welp, here it goes…
Monday: Interval Treadmill Run (longer distance race) + Stair master + Full Body Lift
Tuesday: Interval Treadmill Run (I teach 4 classes this day so I rely a bit more to get my work in through those classes on Tuesday)
Wednesday: Interval Treadmill Run (speed & hill focus) + Full Body Lift
Thursday : Workout with my Trainer (whatever he has in store) + Small Lift
Friday: Interval Treadmill Run (get after it, last of the week) + Full Body (lots of booty) Lift
Saturday: A Long Outdoor Run (Depending on the time of year, this can range from 6 miles to 11 miles)
Sunday: REST
Try it and let me know what questions you have! I can’t wait to hear more!
XOXO. Kel

I am all about matching. When I was in college I matched all of my ribbons to my uniforms. My headbands must match my workout outfit. And these stripes, well, they match that #summerfeel. I think this look has always been popular. Actually, I know it has been popular. I can remember I had a blue and white striped button down polo shirt in middle school, and yes, of course I was cool [or at least I thought so]. What am I getting at? These stripes scream summer and they are classic! They look good on everyone and they just give you that light crisp feel through the hot weather.
This jumpsuit in particular gives me all the summer feels. I love the cut out and the illusion that its a two piece set. I don’t typically love strapless but this one offers a strip of a sticky material on the inside of the top seam to help keep the top up [trust me, you don’t even notice it]. Toss it on with a pair of nude heels and a cute clutch and you are ready for that summer cocktail party!
Incase this is not your look, I am sharing some other looks that share that classic ‘blue and white’ stripe style.
Striped Paperbag Cut off Shorts – I love the highwaist look on anything but especially on a pair of shorts. I feel that it just give shorts a bit more of a classy, dressed up look. (UNDER $20.00)
Button Front Camisole – The perfect style top for a hot summer day. It pairs with anything and the look is so effortless.
Cover Up Maxi- I live for a good maxi in the summer and the blue and white stripe + the POCKETS make this one a must have! (Use it as a cover up or a easy breezy Saturday look)
Striped Short Sleeve Button Down – This look is so in and the blue and white stripe give it that classic feel. (UNDER $15.00)
Off the Shoulder Striped Shirt – I love the ruffles, I love the off the shoulder, I love the coloring… it is the perfect summer party shirt!

When your best friend tells you she is getting married to the boy we met on the beach when we were in 7th grade… well, you scream, you hug, you cry a little (tears of joy, obvi)… and then you say, let’s start planning all the things!
My mind of course wanders to planning her every outfit for all the events that come with being the BRIDE… but then my mother reminds me to “Focus, we need to get moving on planning the bridal shower.” It was not a huge undertaking since it was an intimate group (which I loved) … but I figured I would share some tips to help anyone who has the title “Bridal shower planner” in their future. The biggest thing to keep in mind… do not let things get too out of hand (because these type of things can get a bit crazy).
Things to keep in mind and a few tips and tricks:
- Ask the bride what she wants. Keep in mind this is not YOUR bridal shower, it is hers. At the end of it all you want her to remember how magical it was and how it had all the things SHE wanted… not YOU!
- Get an idea of how many people will be attending. The sooner you do this the sooner you can start to see what will fit into your budget and what may not. These type of things can be expensive and you do not want things to get too over budget before you have even had your first mimosa.
- You can break tradition. Most bridal showers happen on a Sunday in the middle of the day. This may work for what your Bride wants but also keep your mind open to other ideas. A friday cocktail bridal shower, a saturday brunch or a backyard bridal barbecue. Again, make it special so it matches what the Bride wants and speaks to her.
- Balloons, flowers and candles go a long way! It is amazing what these three things can do to a room. Keep things simple and elegant and everyone will love it, trust me!
- Tie in the Groom at some point. Weather it is in a game or conversation, tie the Groom in. Keep in mind, their are two people getting married. Yes, you are showering the bride but they would not be here if there was not two people getting married.
I could go on and on but I figure those 5 tips are a good base to build off of. My biggest wish for you… is that you are not dealing with a bridezilla!

I loved the style the second I saw it. I had to grab it and show it off to you guys right away!
It is the thing that is in. It is the style that is hip.
Plus it transitions perfectly to all four seasons. I have seen this tie front look in sweaters, blouses, tanks, long sleeves… you name it, the style has made it!
This one I have on in particular is a S-T-E-A-L. It is from the lovely “Forever 21” (you guys know I dig it) and is almost all sold out in this white. Red is still in stock, a color which I love as well. The double layer is perfect keeping it from being see-through and there is a small snap button at the chest. This gives you the option to show off more or less skin. It is a shirt that makes a statement!
Below I have picked a few others that are my favorites that have the same idea but also are unique in there own way! I have picked one for any occasion or any style you may be looking for! Enjoy 🙂
ASOS Deep Plunge Shirt : This option has a deeper plunge in the front and will add some color to your wardrobe (if you are looking for a more sexy style, this would be your pick)!
Tie Front Poplin Shirt: Very similar to the one I have on, just with a few more buttons. I love the sleeves on this one even more then the one I have on.
Floral Tie Front: Sweet and sexy all at once. The print is soft and gentle and the tie and low cut give it a sexy feel. (IT IS ALSO UNDER $18.00)
Striped Tie Front Top: I love all things striped and pairing this one with a cute bralette and jeans shorts would make this a perfect summer day outfit!
Check out all of my outfit details below. Grab this look… because it is SOOOOOO in!

DAY LOOK DETAILS: ROMPER (UNDER $40) | JEAN JACKET (UNDER $40) | SANDALS (PERFECT FOR SUMMER)
NIGHT LOOK DETAILS: ROMPER (UNDER $40) | CLUTCH (UNDER $40) | HEELS (NUDE IS ALWAYS MY FAVORITE, THESE ARE SOLD OUT BUT I HAVE FOUND THESE THAT I LOVE )
You always want to invest in pieces that you know you can wear multiple times and it is a bigger bonus when you know you can style it both casual and a bit more dressy. In other words, a piece that easily transitions from day… to night!
This romper does exactly that. I can pair it during the day, showing more of a casual look by adding a jean jacket and flat sandals. Then make a quick, easy change for the evening. Giving this more of a dressed up look by just adding nude heels and a pat and leather clutch.
No matter how you style this romper you will love the light, breezy feeling it gives off. It has perfect length, covering enough of the booty to make this tasteful and the open back shows just enough to keep it sexy. It does run true to size. (I am wearing a small) The best part of it all … is it is ONLY $38.00!
Get it while it is still in stock.

Everyone loves Amazon … like E V E R Y O N E. I have heard your request to give you more looks from Amazon so I listened! I have found another adorable top and it comes in a billion colors, so once again Amazon has us covered.
Spring is that in-between season and one of the leading questions I am asked whenever there is a change in season, is if I can share some“transitional” pieces. During this time the weather is so up and down so I always have to remind myself to dress in layers… but to keep them light.
This means that I find it to be the perfect time to pull out the dusters. It fits perfectly with spring cleaning. Get it… spring cleaning and dusting kind of go hand in hand. Of course the DUSTER would be perfect… <I know so dorky> … but seriously, I think it is the perfect spring transitional piece so I have shopped a few of my favorite for you and I am sharing below.
Lou & Grey Soft Duster: (pictured below) The softest material you will feel. Similar to the softest sweatshirt you have ever owned. On major sale also, UNDER $30.00
Belted Duster Coat: This yellow color screams SPRING and I love the added detail of the belt. Those who want to give yourself a little more of a shape, this one is for you.
Draped Open Front Duster: It comes in two great color options (black and the olive green I love), and the light weight flowy material allows you to carry this one all the way into fall. Another great price, UNDER $20.00!
Floral Open Front Duster: I was immediately attracted to this one because its pattern and amazing, vibrant colors. Pair this one with all white under neath and let the duster be the talk of the outfit. ON SALE and UNDER $30.00
Waffle Knit Duster: This easy, comfy looking duster can be dressed up or worn more casual. More importantly this tan color is what is a must in your wardrobe. The perfectly layer in the color that goes with EVERYTHING!
I have them all and I plan to live in them all spring.
XOXO. Kel

It is ALMOST technically spring, yes. And, yes that means start that spring cleaning and get yourself and your wardrobe ready and set for warmer weather. It also means a great time for some killer sales. My momma has taught me a lot and one of the most important things is to never buy anything until it goes on SALE. I would like to say I follow that rule all the time… but sometimes a girl can’t help to splurge.
