For me, a favorite summer-to-fall casual look begins with a great pair of jean shorts. Easier said than done! The best ones can be hard to find, and some are just plain inappropriate…too tight, too short, rips in all the wrong places. Those are tossed right into the NO pile, and it’s a big one.
But I’ve done the leg work–and through many dressing room try on’s and online shopping returns– have discovered three pairs of “go-to” jean shorts that won’t disappoint. I have also given you three different ways to style them right into fall. So, put the bathing suits away but not these PERFECT shorts. Try one or more and let me know what YOU think…Enjoy!

LOOK ONE
A simple white button down can go a long way. Keep in mind that since you are going with a white top you can add a little color or pattern elsewhere. Like any button down it typically is a bit longer so a good option is to pair it with a cropped bomber jacket that hits right at the hip. Add a flatform to give your legs a little extra length and you are off for a fun Sunday around the city.

There is nothing better on a fall day then a comfy, cozy over size cardigan. Keep it simple by pairing it with a broken-in white tank top and a good pair of white flat wedges. Always necessary to give yourself a little height :)Lets face it, these days you can have cool mornings and a steamy afternoon so this style has you prepared for it all. Ready to run errands right and slide right into an early happy hour.

LOOK THREE
Pair an off the shoulder sweater and bralette to show off a bit more skin and give a more laid back feel. Once again, by keeping the top a neutral color it allows you to play on texture. I paired this look with a suede, casual, flat sandal that has a simple tie detail allowing the look to feel more casual and relaxed.
