After a wonderful trip to Montana (dont worry my #Kellydoestheoutdoors blog is coming soon)… and a long 4th of July Weekend, I am back. It’s so important to take some time to chill and remind ourselves to slow down! It takes work for me and lots of reminders to be ok with finding time to relax but now reflecting back on it, it was way for sure needed.
I cant believe the 4th of July is already here. S U M M E R is f l y i n g. What an epic holiday. And for an epic holiday you need an epic outfit, why not? Barbecue, fireworks, friends, family, good vibes, HOT DOGS and… AMERICA! What more could you ask for?!? This calls for a perfect R O M P E R. It’s perfect for all of those things and why not make it a festive one 🙂
This blog post came to me pretty quickly. As I write these post I learn from them, but I also have to constantly remind myself to write about things I look for and want to read about in my own time. For instance, I love seeing how other people style different things. Style is a unique thing and I love how you can start with one basic piece of clothing and style it so many different ways just by changing the smallest things. For instance, this mid length black dress. Simple. Everyone seems to have something like this in their closet. And the best part is it is so easy to wear during these hot summer days.
White is my jam in the summer. I love a white dress, a white jumpsuit, a white romper, white jeans, a white tank or blouse. A good pair of white shorts are the perfect match for when I want to go more casual.
I know I share A LOT of jumpsuits. Trust me, I have had the talk with myself about branching out… but I just can not get away from them. They feel like they fit every occasion! Since the styles and patterns seem to be endless it feels like the options can go on and on forever.
Rose – It’s summer water. We call it S-U-M-M-E-R WATER… and it’s about that time!
Finally the temps are warming, the sun is shinning and the sunsets are getting later and later. I love this time of year. You can just tell the energy is high and people are remembering the good things in life.
Not to mention it is the perfect happy hour beverage. With that said, Rose is an all the time kind of beverage this time of year. If you know me, you know my pick during this time of year is Rose… or Champs! I have listed below a few of my favorites + (plus) along with out this cute shirt for your next happy hour… and its $12 FREAKING DOLLARS! (MAJOR SALE)
Happy Friday Friends.
If you are looking for some recommendations or want to try something new, below are a few of my current favorites depending on the occasion. Picks for both Rose and Champagne:

Denim, denim, denim. Its classic. It never will go out of style … so why not turn it into a jumpsuit to make it that much better. Now, I will say I have seen some pretty tacky denim jumpsuits that I am totally not a fan of. I have done my research though and have picked a few (all shapes and sizes) and I have faith you will find one in the mix you could pull off. Because, like I said… denim is C-L-A-S-S-I-C. Anyone can rock it and it never goes out of style.
[PICTURED] Strapless Chambray Wide Leg Jumpsuit- THIS ONE IS STILL IN STOCK. Grab it while it is still available. It is some comfortable and can easily be dressed up or worn more casual. Under $25.00 and perfect as we move into warmer temps!
Ruffles Sleeveless Jumpsuit – An Amazon find and I love how this adds ruffles in to give it more gentle feel. An amazing price as well that you can not beat! (Under $20.00)
Cutout Denim Jumpsuit – On the more expensive side but the perfectly placed cutouts drew me to this jumpsuit right away!
Wide-Leg Utility Jumpsuit- This one gives a bit more coverage because it is short sleeve… but, still gives your body shape because of the added drawstring at the waist.
Overalls in Denim – Yes, they are coming back and yes, I am a fan.
Sleeveless, square neck romper- If you are not into the jumpsuit and would prefer a romper style here is your pick. Perfect for the warmer weather and to take you right into summer in style.

You always want to invest in pieces that you know you can wear multiple times and it is a bigger bonus when you know you can style it both casual and a bit more dressy. In other words, a piece that easily transitions from day… to night!
This romper does exactly that. I can pair it during the day, showing more of a casual look by adding a jean jacket and flat sandals. Then make a quick, easy change for the evening. Giving this more of a dressed up look by just adding nude heels and a pat and leather clutch.
No matter how you style this romper you will love the light, breezy feeling it gives off. It has perfect length, covering enough of the booty to make this tasteful and the open back shows just enough to keep it sexy. It does run true to size. (I am wearing a small) The best part of it all … is it is ONLY $38.00!
Get it while it is still in stock.
Weekend vibes are the best vibes and although summer is coming to a close it is still hot, hot, hot here in Baltimore. These high waisted shorts are my favorite and I feel like I have lived in them all summer long. I love pairing a bodysuit with this so it can show off where the shorts hit on my waist. And if you know me, you know I always love a little height in my shoe. These platforms are the perfect combination of height and comfy – especially if you plan on spending the day shopping!
I hope you guys have something fun planned this weekend! Cheers!
Okay, some facts are inescapable…we HAVE turned a page, and Labor Day IS in the history books.
So yes, SOME calendars are set in stone (football schedules and school calendars to name a few!) With those in mind please DON’T give up on those white jeans.
Fashion has few timelines and some say fashion does have “rules”. (More importantly— I believe these are entirely up to you.) As long as you have some skills and a desire to take a great look from one season to another I think you are on the right path. Through the good looks and the awful ones, I have learned from it all and most importantly taught myself how to extend the styles that work for me. So if you are like me and are not yet ready to put the white pants away, borrow some of these tips to keep it moving forward right on into fall.
Together, lets “winterize” your white jeans.
