Summer is coming to an end. No, that does not mean it will get any cooler here in Baltimore … <we carry this heat with us through fall>… but all the SUMMER sales are happening and Fall Fashion is quickly approaching. So, for me that alerts me to only buy into clothing that will work great as transitional pieces. Well, in my opinion jean shorts are perfect for spring, summer and fall and I consider them a staple almost all year round and one thing you can never have enough of. I got you!

There is nothing better then a good comfortable jumpsuit.
I will give you a little secret too. Any jumpsuit with the word Palazzo attached to it will guarantee comfort. This wide leg, flattering style is by far one of my favorites. In other words, it’s super comfortable and so easy to wear.
Certainly, I hope you are squeezing in one more little vacation or weekend getaway in before summer comes to a close. As a result, I will do the packing with these perfect Palazzo looks that are all under $40.00.
A few options –
Strapless Striped Satin Palazzo Jumpsuit: $15.92 These colors scream summer and with the elastic strapless style and wide leg palazzo pant, comfort is never an issue. Pair this one with a straw bag and some cute flip flops and take this look from day to night on any island (and if you can’t get to an island just put it on and pretend).
Crinkled Palazzo Jumpsuit: $38.00 This easy going jumpsuit can take you right from the airplane to a lunch date, beach side. First, it has POCKETS, and also comes in a sage color if the mustard yellow is not your color. This one keeps things easy breezy!
Printed Cami Palazzo Jumpsuit: $25.99 This is the perfect jumpsuit for a weekend getaway where there is sand and water! The shorten Palazzo style is perfect for warmer temps. Pair it with heels or flats. With that price you can afford to buy two with the many colors and patterns it comes in.
Bow Front Palazzo Pants: $38.00 If you are not into jumpsuits or feel they are just not your style I have picked some adorable Palazzo Pants that you can just as easily pair with a a simple bodysuit, like this. I love the detail of the bow on these pants and the wide leg pairs perfectly with tighter fitting top. Such a flattering look on all body types!
Two Piece, Tie Front Palazzo Set: $32.99 I recently ordered this and I LOVE IT. That is to say, I know it’s technically not a “jumpsuit.” But, I am loving the two piece sets with the Palazzo Pants. In short, they pair perfectly with the tie front and there are many different colors and patterns to pick from so, find your match!

It’s a tradition.
Yes, the beach is a tradition in my family and BEACH WEEK is finally here. Every year, this time of year, my family’s annual Werle Beach Trip takes place. Now, if you have not already guessed, I love the beach, the hot sun, the pool, and thus I love summer. I love it all and it would just not be the summer if we did not have a full week “down the ocean” in August!
OUTFIT DETAILS: LEGGINGS | BRA | TANK | FLIP FLOPS |
Ok, I will be real honest with you. I was not sold on Free People Leggings when I initially heard they were making “activewear.” I thought, no way. They make really cute clothes, but how can they all of the sudden pull off workout gear? One of my friends, Nicole, has worked for them for sometime (her style game is on point, as you can imagine) and every time I would see her and she would have the cutest leggings on. Therfore, I would obviously think, “ok maybe I should try them, they are too cute to pass up.” So Nicole hooked a girl up and I gave them a run.
Alright, maybe it is my old age or maybe it is just me not caring what anyones opinion is of me. Honestly, I went through a moment where I was buying things because they were COMFORTABLE. Meaning “looks” came second and “comfort” came first! I never thought the day would come… but it did… and these shoes led the charge.
OUTFIT DETAILS: SHORTS | SHOES | SHIRT | PURSE (THIS BAG IS NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE, BUT I LOVE THIS STRAW BAG WITH THIS LOOK)
Summer Style is a real thing and there is nothing that screams this look more then a pair of light weight, high waisted WHITE shorts. I will admit I did not need these when I saw them at the Nordstrom sale… but with this price and this style I could not pass them up (You got me Nordstrom)! If white is not your thing, thats ok, they also come in tan and black which are both just as timeless.
It has been a few weeks and I hear all the request… so lets sweat it out together on the tread… shall we? 🙂

In honor of all the talk about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I decided I would acknowledge it. Acknowledge it in a bit of a different way… because honestly, lord knows I cannot purchase much more for the summer. Simply because I am running out of room in my closet!
So, I decided to, once again, go shopping in my closet for one of my all time favorite dresses that I actually purchased during LAST years Anniversary Sale! I did the research and tried to see if they had it available this year and that was a big fat NO. BUT, they had a ton of very similar styles and ones that I think, personally, are even better then the one I have on (but, don’t worry, I am using my self control to not purchase).
With all of that said, I put together a shopping list of some ADORABLE wrap dresses from Nordstrom. The best part, they are all on MAJOR SALE. Not to mention this trend looks good on everyone aaaannnnddd I am hesitate to call it a trend because I think its a classic look.
Happy Nordstrom Shopping 🙂
Billabong Wrap Dress: I love color in the summer and this dress screams, ‘lets go to the beach’. It’s perfect for a friday night happy hour in the city or a beach cookout. UNDER $40.00!
A bit more conservative Wrap Dress: To start, it’s 40% off and be sure to size one size down because it does run a little big. This one hits the top of your knee so you can get away with styling it in a more business casual look. Personally, I love all the color options and designs that it comes in.
Island Wrap mini denim dress: Also, very similar to the style I am wearing. I love denim in the summer! It’s another one that is under $40.00 I at that price this one will go quickly!
Peppermint Striped Wrap Dress: OBSESSED. The stripes, the bow, the entire thing. I love it all + its UNDER $50.00!
A more formal Wrap Dress: One you can get away with for a wedding or a nicer event. The light blue coloring is perfect for the summer temps and the spaghetti straps allows this look to feel light and breezy.

After a wonderful trip to Montana (dont worry my #Kellydoestheoutdoors blog is coming soon)… and a long 4th of July Weekend, I am back. It’s so important to take some time to chill and remind ourselves to slow down! It takes work for me and lots of reminders to be ok with finding time to relax but now reflecting back on it, it was way for sure needed.
I figured sharing some quick Forth of July looks you can throw together last minute could be useful for everyone. Because lets be honest, Forth of July sneaks up on all of us and who is really prepared. So, a simple solution, scarves on scarves on scarves. I know what you are thinking, [it is way too hot for scarves] but there are so many ways you can style them! Sharing my ideas below and adding these scarves as a cute accessory that gives your holiday look the perfect pick me up.
