The leather skirt is a fashion staple this time of year. I own multiple styles and they are all my favorites because I find that I can style them in so many different ways.

For me, a favorite summer-to-fall casual look begins with a great pair of jean shorts. Easier said than done! The best ones can be hard to find, and some are just plain inappropriate…too tight, too short, rips in all the wrong places. Those are tossed right into the NO pile, and it’s a big one.
There is one look that never gets old to me, high waisted and wide leg. You have heard me say before — High Waisted
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G … add a flattering wide leg to that and girl you are killing it!
If you—like me—find the RIGHT pants (feel good…flattering to every curve…move with you all night long,) you buy them in every color …RIGHT? This could be just my issue. Seriously, though, you cannot beat these pants.
Weekend vibes are the best vibes and although summer is coming to a close it is still hot, hot, hot here in Baltimore. These high waisted shorts are my favorite and I feel like I have lived in them all summer long. I love pairing a bodysuit with this so it can show off where the shorts hit on my waist. And if you know me, you know I always love a little height in my shoe. These platforms are the perfect combination of height and comfy – especially if you plan on spending the day shopping!

Okay, some facts are inescapable…we HAVE turned a page, and Labor Day IS in the history books.
So yes, SOME calendars are set in stone (football schedules and school calendars to name a few!) With those in mind please DON’T give up on those white jeans.
Fashion has few timelines and some say fashion does have “rules”. (More importantly— I believe these are entirely up to you.) As long as you have some skills and a desire to take a great look from one season to another I think you are on the right path. Through the good looks and the awful ones, I have learned from it all and most importantly taught myself how to extend the styles that work for me. So if you are like me and are not yet ready to put the white pants away, borrow some of these tips to keep it moving forward right on into fall.
Ask any girl, and she will tell you she loves a good jumpsuit. It’s easy; It’s classic, and the right one looks amazing on everyone. If it’s THAT jumpsuit hanging in your closet, you know it’s going to be a gooooooooood night. (Is it just me who is a believer?) Ok–maybe… but I’m pretty sure that adding just a few jumpsuits will provide a seamless transition to your fall fashion playbook.
