Let me put it out there. I LOVE a blazer look. Anytime of the year, dress up or down… whatever it is, I LOVE the look and vibe it takes on. As summer approached I saw more and more blazers being advertised. Above all, I don’t always think of it as a “summer look”… but I can always be convinced. I always have an extra layer with me anyway because freezing at all times, so why not make that extra layer a blazer?
Suede screams fall and again it’s another perfect transitional piece that adds great texture to any outfit. I prefer to keep the rest of the look simple and let the skirt speak for itself. In these three looks I pair all styles with the same top and same pair of shoes and you can see how each look gives a slightly different look by just changing the style of the suede skit.
The best part about this look is when temps get a little cooler just add a leather jacket and some over the knee boots and you are good to go!

You see this skirt sold everywhere and the reason that is, is because YOU NEED IT IN YOUR CLOSET!!! It is a BASIC for your wardrobe this time of year. It checks off all the needs for any and all skirts. High waisted, not to tight, flares at all the right places, trust me here!

If you are like me, almost all things in your closet turn a little darker shade when it comes to colder months. I seem to buy everything in black. I cant say I will stop but here is a perfect way to add a pop of color to your look through the fall months. I know you may not believe me when I say this, but it’s true… FANNY PACKS ARE BACK. Not coming back, they are back. They are here and they are in styyyylllleeee. I know what you are thinking already, nope not my thing. Good news is, I got it, I get it, I have been that person too. With that said, I’ve changed. Well, I shouldn’t say I’ve changed, I will just say I have changed my perspective on my feelings towards fanny packs!
First, I will admit, I only use to use my fanny pack for running. Meaning I would stuff my key, my phone and anything else I felt I would maybe need for the next 7 to 10 miles and be on my way with my fanny. Yes, I would wear it around my hips and honestly I did not care if people liked it or not because it was living up to its purpose.
Things have changed, yes fanny packs are still serving a purpose but they are also making a fashion statement. To prove this I have listed below all different styles of the fanny packs. Sporty, fancy, chic… the list goes on. At the end of it all, you should dig them, because I think they are back in style for awhile now and honestly, they keep life simple. Fanny up crew!

In honor of all the talk about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I decided I would acknowledge it. Acknowledge it in a bit of a different way… because honestly, lord knows I cannot purchase much more for the summer. Simply because I am running out of room in my closet!
So, I decided to, once again, go shopping in my closet for one of my all time favorite dresses that I actually purchased during LAST years Anniversary Sale! I did the research and tried to see if they had it available this year and that was a big fat NO. BUT, they had a ton of very similar styles and ones that I think, personally, are even better then the one I have on (but, don’t worry, I am using my self control to not purchase).
With all of that said, I put together a shopping list of some ADORABLE wrap dresses from Nordstrom. The best part, they are all on MAJOR SALE. Not to mention this trend looks good on everyone aaaannnnddd I am hesitate to call it a trend because I think its a classic look.

Billabong Wrap Dress: I love color in the summer and this dress screams, ‘lets go to the beach’. It’s perfect for a friday night happy hour in the city or a beach cookout. UNDER $40.00!
A bit more conservative Wrap Dress: To start, it’s 40% off and be sure to size one size down because it does run a little big. This one hits the top of your knee so you can get away with styling it in a more business casual look. Personally, I love all the color options and designs that it comes in.
Island Wrap mini denim dress: Also, very similar to the style I am wearing. I love denim in the summer! It’s another one that is under $40.00 I at that price this one will go quickly!
Peppermint Striped Wrap Dress: OBSESSED. The stripes, the bow, the entire thing. I love it all + its UNDER $50.00!
A more formal Wrap Dress: One you can get away with for a wedding or a nicer event. The light blue coloring is perfect for the summer temps and the spaghetti straps allows this look to feel light and breezy.
