Treadmill Workout

You all know by now how much I love a treadmill workout. I have gotten the question a lot… do you really #runeveryday ?

The answer is YES, with the exception of Sundays. I always try and take off on Sunday’s and give my legs and my mind a break from working out. After all, it is my job so its healthy to take some time away for that and reset.

Now, since this blog is about sharing all things I love in fashion and fitness I am happy to announce that we will have #treadmilltuesday officially be a “thing”. This will not happen every Tuesday but I will be sharing some of my favorite treadmill workouts in future Tuesday’s ahead! So follow along and try one or all of them out.

It just takes one step to try! Run fast 🙂

Reminder: Always start with an Incline of 1 on the Treadmill

Warm up

  • 2 min walk (at least 3.5 speed)
  • 3 min Jog  (1 min at 5.0 – 1 min. at 6.0 – 1 min. at 7.0)
  • 1 min quick stretch and prep

The Work // Round 1

  • 45sec  sprint at 9.0 speed – jog 45sec. at 6.0 speed
  • Repeat 5x

The Work // Round 2 

  • Sprint 30sec at 9.3 speed — Jog 15sec at 7.0 speed – Step off for 15sec.
  • Repeat 5x
  • Walk for 1 min.
  • Sprint 30sec at 9.5 speed — Step off 20sec
  • Repeat 5x

The Work // Up the Ladder // Round 3

  • Speed 10 – Incline 1  – Sprint 20 sec. – 10 sec off
  • Speed 10 – Incline 2 – Sprint 20 sec. – 10 sec. off
  • Speed 10 – Incline 3 – Sprint 20 sec. – 10 sec. off
  • Speed 10 – Incline 4 – Sprint 20 sec. – 10 sec. off
  • Speed 10 – Incline 5 – Sprint 20 sec. – 10 sec. off

The Work // Down the Ladder // Round 4

  • Speed 10 – Incline 4 – Sprint 20 sec. – 10 sec. off
  • Speed 10 – Incline 3 – Sprint 20 sec. – 10 sec. off
  • Speed 10 – Incline 2 – Sprint 20 sec. – 10 sec. off
  • Speed 10 – Incline 1 – Sprint 20 sec. – 10 sec. off

Walk for Cool Down

Thank you for the post. this is a fully blown out training we need to follow to avoid injuries on the treadmill.
