You guys always have a lot of questions about all the different sneakers I wear and own. Truth, I have a TON of sneakers. That being said, I have many more than necessary and many more than the average person. I will say, that “sneaks” go in the category of work clothes for me. They match my lifestyle and I can’t lie that I love a fresh pair of kicks. Well, at least that is what I tell myself.
shoes
There is no denying that I am a shoe girl. And when I say that, please do not follow up and ask how many pairs I have. I will be honest with you when I say that I have entirely too many pairs of shoes… but, I honestly believe the shoe can make or break any outfit.
I love shoes. It’s a fact. And anyone who knows me, knows I have entirely too many shoes necessary. I admit it, yes, I have too many shoes. BUT… I love shoes… and more importantly, I love when the shoes do the talking. I recently got these FUN wedges that I simply couldn’t pass up because, well… they were FUN! It inspired me to put together an outfit just for those particular shoes!
Here’s my advice… keep the outfit simple. Like I said, let the shoes do the talking. Here, you see that I paired the outfit with neutral colors and I allow the shoes to tie the entire look together. [If you love them, grab them quick because they are going fast.] Good news for you though, this is a total trend and I picked out a few others with a similar style and vibe that you may want to rock right on into the fall.
Let ’em Do the Talking:
Steve Madden Multi Snake: This wedge gives the detail on the top portion of the shoe. In this instance you still want to let the shoe do the talking and keep the rest of the outfit simple.
And if you love this pattern and can’t get enough, check these Snake Skin Wedges out!
Suede Platform Sandals: These offer a much more neutral design to the wedge portion of the shoe. Enough to give it a flare and make it different from your average wedge.
Ankle Strap Neutral Design Wedge: A smaller wedge and one that will work for the person that does not want to be too loud with the design but likes a little something. Plus they are 60% off right now, can’t beat it!
Black Multi Flatform: A flatform version and black and white you can pair with anything!

A few other favorite Shoes – Five I am Loving
Alright, maybe it is my old age or maybe it is just me not caring what anyones opinion is of me. Honestly, I went through a moment where I was buying things because they were COMFORTABLE. Meaning “looks” came second and “comfort” came first! I never thought the day would come… but it did… and these shoes led the charge.
SHOE DETAILS: RED PLAID SLIP ONS (UNDER $55) | BLACK AND WHITE CHECKER SLIP ONS (UNDER $50) | CAMO SLIP ONS (UNDER $30)
It’s the time of year where sometimes it is to cold to wear flip flops… but wearing big boots or what I call “hot shoes” (winter type shoes) is just too much. Sooooooooo… I call it “slip on” season. There are a ton of fun patterns and this is a style that everyone can relate to. You know this girl loves a a great platform on any shoe and you better believe I found a platform slip on!
So when putting your #ootd together and styling your slip ons… here are some of my rules I follow:
1. Keep it simple (let the shoes do the talking).
2. Pair them with shorts or skinny jeans. I personally like that look because it shows off the shoes better and gives the outfit character.
3. Make sure you pick ones that are comfortable. There is nothing worse then bad blissters from your slip ons. This will 100% ruin the vibe.
Either way, be sure to rock them the way that feels good to you. It’s slip on season, you do you!
