The Cutest, Comfiest Romper Ever

Lets be honest. This is the year of comfy, cute and stylish. Notice I did not say sloppy. Remember I have always said you can be cute and and comfy without looking like you just rolled out of bed.

I am all for the casual look and I have the perfect jumpsuit for it. When I initially bought this jumpsuit I thought it would be a perfect travel outfit (I was thinking a plane ride to a great getaway) and even though those are a bit more limited these days, this jumpsuit is not out of the question.

Honestly you can get away with it for really… anything.

Pair it with a jean jacket or even a light open knit cardigan. Add some cute casual flip flops and off you go. It comes in a bunch of different colors and patterns and the material is soft enough you can sleep in. All links are below! Happy shopping!

Alriiiiighhhhhhhhttttt. H A P P Y  m o n d a y friends. We are getting to the other side of summer and I can not believe how fast, not only this summer has flown by but also this YEAR! Crazy year, yes, but it really has FLOWN by for not really doing much of anything [LOL].

Real talk though, this is a quarantine purchase and I figured it is finally time to share it with the world! I tried not to buy or shop online while the craziness of the world was going on BUT this was a purchase I couldn’t pass up for more reasons then one.

  1. Comfy.
  2. Bargain.
  3. AMAZON.
  4. Dress it up or down (as seen below)
  5. And comes in many different CUTE pattern options to pick from.

Honestly, when I bought it I knew I could wear it, traveling (one day), out to dinner, out to a casual event during the day, to a work meeting with a cardigan… the ideas could go on and on. It was one of those purchases that just made sense. AND for $30 bucks, cant beat it! Click all the details below!

What I am reading these days!

I wouldn’t call myself a big reader, or someone who “craves” a good book. But, I do like to read. When I find a good book I will make time to sit down and read it. Originally, when the discussion came up to write this particular blog the topic came up as “the book of the month.” Then I had to be truthful with myself that… that doesn’t always happen for Kelbel. Sometimes I breeze through books. Other times, it takes a bit longer. Truthfully, it just matters what else I have going on. Nonetheless, recently I have come across some really good ones and I thought it would be worthy for me to share!

Current List ~

Girl, stop apologizing: This book is written by one of my favorite people who I have never even met! Mrs. Rachel Hollis kicks butt in every way and after reading one of her other more recent books…  Girl, wash your face … I knew this one would be a hit. Listen to this book on audio, read the book, listen to her podcast, follow her on instagram, whatever it is make her part of your routine. She is inspirational, real, true, powerful, and most importantly, (especially for women) she pushes you to get your butt in gear! I highly recommend this one and any thing she puts her name behind. You will not be disappointed.

In Case Nobody Told You: This is not as much of a novel as it is a book with many small short passages. A co-worker of mine had recommended it to me and I checked it out right away. I personally like starting my day off with this book. It doesn’t happen every day but these short amazing reminders set your thoughts in the right place exactly when you need it most. Check’em out for yourself. 

Influencer: If you are like me and enjoy social media and want to learn how you can help expand your brand with social media, this is a good read for you. Now, I do find that I can not read this book before bed due to the immediate “to-do” list it starts creating in my head with all of the advice and suggestions. But, the ideas are wonderful and most of all it is realistic!

So, that’s that. Those are some of the books I am enjoying at the moment. I wish I could say I would be back in a month to share more but it may be a little longer then that if I am being honest…

Green Romper

I live for a good romper. More than anything, I love it even more when it takes me to a place, like a tropical island the second I put it on. In my opinion this is the perfect little romper to take on your next vacation… or just rock it all summer in the summer heat! The halter look with the low back and this green color is so in right now.

Below I have picked a few other Tropical Style rompers if you’re in the market. I am planning on putting a few more of these in my closet this summer, no doubt!

A few Romper options:

Leaf Print Halter Romper – (PICTURED BELOW) Only a few sizes left so grab it now! I love the low back detail and the ruffles around the leg. You can not beat this price either! (UNDER $20.00)

Tropical Floral Cami Romper- I love yellow and this simple style gives this one a pass to wear anywhere. You know the drill… add a jean jacket and you are good to go.

Floral Print Romper- If you prefer thicker straps and bit more support up top, this is a great pick for you. (Under $20.00)

Wrap Skirt Romper- Very similar to the one I am pictured in sharing the same green color. I also love the look of a wrap skirt and not just shorts.

Floral Print Cover Up- This one is considered a “cover up” but I think I could easily wear it anytime. I love the pretty tie back detail and it offers a bit more coverage on your backside if you are someone who prefers a longer short style.

Are High Waters Back in Style?

Are high waters back in style?  Well, my answer… I’m not sure.

When I originally put this jumpsuit on… I thought to myself… [There is no way I am too tall for this jumpsuit, that is NEVER the case, there must be something wrong]… but then after checking out how the model was wearing it I realized this was how it was supposed to fit. I loved the material, the fit, the style.and the entire look. However, I was not sold on the “shorter pants” look. I decided to play around with the look a little before I tore off the jumpsuit and put it in the NO pile. I strapped on a high pair of platforms and added a belt. BOOM! I totally fell in love with it.

I am still not convinced the “urkel style” is back in necessarily. If you style it the correct way and add some height with a good pair of shoes you are on the right path of rocking the look well. Either way, I say check this jumpsuit out because it is one of my top picks for this season!

This romper does exactly that. I can pair it during the day, showing more of a casual look by adding a jean jacket and flat sandals. Then make a quick, easy change for the evening. Giving this more of a dressed up look by just adding nude heels and a pat and leather clutch.

Navy Lace Romper

Fall is what I call our “in between season”. You can’t fully commit to your winter wardrobe because we still have warmth in the air.  You also still want to leave some of your summer clothes out because you could mix and match some pieces with something more “fall-ish”. As we await the inevitable cold season, we need a variety of in-between looks. So…all eyes on the romper; it’s a beautiful thing!!

Its not a jumpsuit or a bodysuit, but it is the perfect bridge to a great season trans-seasonal style. There are lots of fall-feeling rompers to choose from, but I’m feeling the lace! Check out some of my favorites posted below and soak up that sun.  We’re all going to miss it.

  1. Plunging Neckline : I am always down for a plunging neckline and this one has the perfect lace detail in a short sleeve version. Pair it with a black leather jacket and heels and you are good to go!
  2. Yellow Romper:  This color goes perfectly with the season. I love the different textures that flow from the lace to the shorts and obviously when anything has pockets its a win!
  3. Long Sleeve Lace Romper: This is your full lace romper. I like that it comes in black, keeping it classy and a bit more fancy. I love the low back detail on this (very similar to the one I am wearing).
  4. Free People Lace: The lace and detail on this romper is so elegant. My eye is also drawn to the flattering, wide waist band and the bell like sleeves, making this one a favorite of mine.
  5. Crochet Trim: You can not BEAT THIS PRICE. It comes in two great fall colors and this is the one for you if you are looking for one with a little less lace.

Red, Red, Jumpsuit

I am obsessed. Yes, as you guys know I’m obsessed with Jumpsuits… but this one is REALLY, REALLY good.

When I look for a jumpsuit I always like it to fit perfectly in all the right places. I know that sounds somewhat obvious with any piece of clothing but it’s extra important when picking the right jumpsuit.

Things I LOVE about this one:

  • It hits perfectly high on your waist (high waisted everything, duh).
  • The low cut style, both in the front AND the back make it sexy yet still classy. The perfect tie detail holds everything in place too.
  • The small detail of the slits up side of the leg allows the pant portion to flow easily and give you a wide leg feeling.
  • This COLOR! Red is sometimes out of peoples comfort zone but its always good when you can add a pop of color to your wardrobe, especially this time of year.

I am wearing a small here and I would say this fits true to size. Something to note, if you do not like the low cut in the front there is an option to pin it a little higher so it is not as low cut. It’s always good to have options!
