Build an outfit: Winter Neutrals

Even though it is nowhere close to summer yet I still like to day dream about all the white, light, breezy looks that will be coming our way in no time. With that said, in this version of  [build you own outfit] I decided to pair all the neutrals together, winter style. An outfit you can build with all the things you may already own… or if you are missing anything, I have the hook up for you.

Build the Outfit

  1. Start with a white top. Like an oversized sweater. I am obsessed with the one I have on here. How it is slightly cropped and has the best bell sleeves to make it comfy and winter cozy.
  2. For pants, go with a neutral color and I always prefer high waisted and wide leg. Above all, it gives this look a class feel. This color can be closer to white or more tan neutrals, up to you (these pants are my go to for the ‘wide leg look’).
  3. Add some texture with a fuzzy, teddy overcoat and tie in the darker neutral, tan. However, this coat can be in a range of colors in that neutral color but adding the texture ties the look together.
  4. Go with the neutral boot.  Weather in mind, I went with a pointy boot here rather then an open toe heel.

4 easy steps and you conquer the Neutral look for winter. Shop in your closet, see what you find and if you are missing any piece at all, follow the links below and I will help you complete the look.

Don’t forgot about another blog post where I built an outfit around a single piece, camouflage.  – Build around a Piece
