The fall vibes are here. No matter what the temps are you can’t ignore that fall feeling and that it is officially October and Halloween is JUST around the corner. Along with all things pumpkin flavor, come the perfect fall looks!
Lifestyle
Sooooooo, lets be real for a moment. I am not a HUGE reader… and it takes me a while to finish a book. In the summer I do find myself reading more than normal. This summer two of the books I dug myself into were amazing. Two very different books with completly different story lines but two great messages and ones that I REALLY enjoyed and had to share!
The Travelers Gift: Seven decisions that determine personal success
I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good story. I know that sounds silly because when you think about reading you automatically think about reading a story {duh Kelly}. BUT, what I mean when I say this is, it is the kind of book that keeps you guessing on what happens next. With that, you are also reminded of the amazing life lessons we all need to be reminded of through out the book. A really easy, yet great read and one that I promise you will love as much as I did!
The Year of Yes
The word that comes to mind with this book AND the feeling I got each time I sit down to read this book is INSPIRED. This books tells one womans story of how she decided to be who she knew she could. Reminding all us women (and men) to put your foot on the gas and GO. JUST DO IT. No matter what point of your life you are in, we all can use this simple reminder. This book will not disappoint and I promise it will give you the extra shove you need to get it going!
Happy reading friends. Don’t hesitate to send some books my way and share the ones you love.
XOXO. Kel
THE BOOKS:
I know you may not believe me when I say this, but it’s true… FANNY PACKS ARE BACK. Not coming back, they are back. They are here and they are in styyyylllleeee. I know what you are thinking already, nope not my thing. Good news is, I got it, I get it, I have been that person too. With that said, I’ve changed. Well, I shouldn’t say I’ve changed, I will just say I have changed my perspective on my feelings towards fanny packs!
First, I will admit, I only use to use my fanny pack for running. Meaning I would stuff my key, my phone and anything else I felt I would maybe need for the next 7 to 10 miles and be on my way with my fanny. Yes, I would wear it around my hips and honestly I did not care if people liked it or not because it was living up to its purpose.
Things have changed, yes fanny packs are still serving a purpose but they are also making a fashion statement. To prove this I have listed below all different styles of the fanny packs. Sporty, fancy, chic… the list goes on. At the end of it all, you should dig them, because I think they are back in style for awhile now and honestly, they keep life simple. Fanny up crew!
XOXO. Kel
P.S. I will also add the the fanny pack style is in for both MEN and WOMEN!
P.P.S. Check out below the different ways to wear the fanny pack! Yes, this is a thing!

Summer is coming to an end. No, that does not mean it will get any cooler here in Baltimore … <we carry this heat with us through fall>… but all the SUMMER sales are happening and Fall Fashion is quickly approaching. So, for me that alerts me to only buy into clothing that will work great as transitional pieces. Well, in my opinion jean shorts are perfect for spring, summer and fall and I consider them a staple almost all year round and one thing you can never have enough of. I got you!
It’s a tradition.
Yes, the beach is a tradition in my family and BEACH WEEK is finally here. Every year, this time of year, my family’s annual Werle Beach Trip takes place. Now, if you have not already guessed, I love the beach, the hot sun, the pool, and thus I love summer. I love it all and it would just not be the summer if we did not have a full week “down the ocean” in August!

I have received a lot of request to share my diet secrets. And I am so hesitant to use that word “diet”! The question is always what do I eat?
Well, the honest truth is, I am not a nutritionist and I do not intend to be one. BUT, more importantly, I am a big believer in balance and making sure the word DIET is not part of my vocabulary. Making sure that yes, I am putting good fuel in my body but that I am also working my butt off in the gym or wherever to get my sweat on so I can also reward myself with things that I like…or maybe LOVE.
OUTFIT DETAILS: SPIRITUAL GANGSTER SWEATSHIRTS (HERE IS A LIST OF A FEW OF MY OTHER FAVORITES…) SET FREE SWEATSHIRT | INHALE/ EXHALE SWEATSHIRT | KINDNESS IS MAGIC | LEGGINGS | SNEAKERS | JEAN JACKET
Good Vibes Only. I know its a cliche thing to say but I am a true believer in it.
Attitude is everything and something we can really control. That’s not to say that some days you may have bad moments or get down … but you are in control of turning things around and that starts with attitude.
It’s something I work at everyday and some days are easier then others but here are a few things that I make sure to involve myself in everyday to keep that “GOOD VIBES ONLY” mentality.
FIVE GO-TO’S
- Surround yourself with like minded people and those who bring good energy. Do not waste your time with people that complain or sulk. It will only bring you down and for me to keep this as simple as it can get… it is just not good energy.
- Get a sweat in. There is a reason they say you are only one workout away from a good mood.
- Do things that make YOU happy. All to often we put others happiness in front of our own and yes, that is important to consider others you also must remember to do things that make YOU happy. If you start thinking about everyone else before yourself all the time you forget what makes YOU happy!
- Wake up early and be thankful for where you are. Get your day going and remind yourself how luck and fortunate we all are. Life is precious. Let’s make it epic.
- Find yourself a furry friend. I do not know where I would be without mine.
There you have it- Just five little rules to follow and hopefully you will be on your way to that “Good Vibes Only” mentality.
I am off to my best friends wedding weekend and nothing screams Good Vibes more then watching two amazing people celebrate there love for one another.
Cheers to the weekend.
XOXO. Kel

When your best friend tells you she is getting married to the boy we met on the beach when we were in 7th grade… well, you scream, you hug, you cry a little (tears of joy, obvi)… and then you say, let’s start planning all the things!
My mind of course wanders to planning her every outfit for all the events that come with being the BRIDE… but then my mother reminds me to “Focus, we need to get moving on planning the bridal shower.” It was not a huge undertaking since it was an intimate group (which I loved) … but I figured I would share some tips to help anyone who has the title “Bridal shower planner” in their future. The biggest thing to keep in mind… do not let things get too out of hand (because these type of things can get a bit crazy).
Things to keep in mind and a few tips and tricks:
- Ask the bride what she wants. Keep in mind this is not YOUR bridal shower, it is hers. At the end of it all you want her to remember how magical it was and how it had all the things SHE wanted… not YOU!
- Get an idea of how many people will be attending. The sooner you do this the sooner you can start to see what will fit into your budget and what may not. These type of things can be expensive and you do not want things to get too over budget before you have even had your first mimosa.
- You can break tradition. Most bridal showers happen on a Sunday in the middle of the day. This may work for what your Bride wants but also keep your mind open to other ideas. A friday cocktail bridal shower, a saturday brunch or a backyard bridal barbecue. Again, make it special so it matches what the Bride wants and speaks to her.
- Balloons, flowers and candles go a long way! It is amazing what these three things can do to a room. Keep things simple and elegant and everyone will love it, trust me!
- Tie in the Groom at some point. Weather it is in a game or conversation, tie the Groom in. Keep in mind, their are two people getting married. Yes, you are showering the bride but they would not be here if there was not two people getting married.
I could go on and on but I figure those 5 tips are a good base to build off of. My biggest wish for you… is that you are not dealing with a bridezilla!
XOXO. Kel

I wouldn’t call myself a big reader, or someone who “craves” a good book. But, I do like to read. When I find a good book I will make time to sit down and read it. Originally, when the discussion came up to write this particular blog the topic came up as “the book of the month.” Then I had to be truthful with myself that… that doesn’t always happen for Kelbel. Sometimes I breeze through books. Other times, it takes a bit longer. Truthfully, it just matters what else I have going on. Nonetheless, recently I have come across some really good ones and I thought it would be worthy for me to share!
Current List ~
Girl, stop apologizing: This book is written by one of my favorite people who I have never even met! Mrs. Rachel Hollis kicks butt in every way and after reading one of her other more recent books… Girl, wash your face … I knew this one would be a hit. Listen to this book on audio, read the book, listen to her podcast, follow her on instagram, whatever it is make her part of your routine. She is inspirational, real, true, powerful, and most importantly, (especially for women) she pushes you to get your butt in gear! I highly recommend this one and any thing she puts her name behind. You will not be disappointed.
In Case Nobody Told You: This is not as much of a novel as it is a book with many small short passages. A co-worker of mine had recommended it to me and I checked it out right away. I personally like starting my day off with this book. It doesn’t happen every day but these short amazing reminders set your thoughts in the right place exactly when you need it most. Check’em out for yourself.
Influencer: If you are like me and enjoy social media and want to learn how you can help expand your brand with social media, this is a good read for you. Now, I do find that I can not read this book before bed due to the immediate “to-do” list it starts creating in my head with all of the advice and suggestions. But, the ideas are wonderful and most of all it is realistic!
THE BOOKS:
So, that’s that. Those are some of the books I am enjoying at the moment. I wish I could say I would be back in a month to share more but it may be a little longer then that if I am being honest…
Let me know what books you would suggest and I will add them to the list.
Happy Reading. XOXO. Kel

Since music fills my days, I thought I would fill your Friday with some feel good beats.
Typically I am preparing a playlist for a class, yelling at “Alexa” to change to the next song {while I am cleaning my apartment of course} or putting together music to get me through my next long training run.
I love all kinds of music and I really do believe music can change your mood anytime, any place. Often, I get asked a lot if I can share my playlist and so today the answer is YES. Below are two playlist I have put together for you. One is a great mix you can use for running, spinning, working out… whatever you want! The other is more of a chill mix. Great for times when you may just need some feel good background music.
I will say, if you ask me next week to create a playlist it may be entirely different, simply because of how much I listen to music. But for today, these are some of my favorites! Hope you like them.
XOXO.
Kel
